Washington, D.C. — Fighting Chance for Families released a new poll which finds that likely voters who have already received the expanded Child Tax Credit payments feel increased favorability toward President Biden and the Democratic party compared to non-recipients.
The poll also finds that people who voted for Trump in 2020 and receive monthly expanded Child Tax Credit payments have a more favorable view of Biden and Democrats than Trump voters who do not receive such payments.
“These findings make clear that the expanded Child Tax Credit is not only good for American families and the economy, but that it’s a benefit for Democrats politically,” said McKenzie Wilson, spokeswoman for Fighting Chance for Families. “As leading Democrats continue to negotiate the future of this tax cut, they should listen to the majority of voters who support it and keep in mind that the economic and moral demand for extending the expanded Child Tax Credit will also deliver a significant political victory."
